Assalamualaikum and greetings.

Orang putih kata "Opportunity Seldom Knocks Twice"
Orang Melayu kata "Peluang Hanya Datang Sekali"

Inginku kongsi bait-bait lagu DeHearty, Wanita:

Tercipta engkau dari rusuk lelaki
Bukan dari kaki untuk dialasi
Bukan dari kepala untuk dijunjung
Tapi dekat dibahu untuk dilindung
Dekat jua dihati untuk dikasihi
Engkaulah wanita hiasan duniawi

Inginku bertanya, siapakah namanya, siapakah orang tuanya. Inginku kenal hati budinya, inginku menjadi sahabat sejatinya. Lalu, ku tanya pada para sahabatku "Kalian, bolehkah kalian tanyakan nama wanita itu untukku?" Mereka kata boleh, tetapi sejurus tiba dihadapan kedai tersebut, mereka katakan padaku, kenapa tak cuba sendiri?

Ohh, like that didn't occur to me. I'm just extremely...ahhh.

Ku fikir, dalam hati dan benak fikiranku...

Sampai bila nak jadi pengecut, bila jasadmu dah kecil mengecut?
Sampai bila nak jadi penakut, duduk di tepi gantang hanya melukut?
Sampai bila nak jadi penyokong, bila tiada bumbung untuk disokong?
Sampai bila nak jadi pemalu, menyorok seperti daun semalu?

Assalamualaikum and greetings!

It's Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday! Well, I don't know what's going down with Rebecca Black's Friday, but for me, every day is a new day and always keep your heads up!

Wahh, tajuk post kali ni macam tajuk lagu. Boleh jadi ni, since my students and their band KARENA, dah ada buat 3 lagu so far. Rakaman bakal dibuat tak lama lagi, so nantikan kemunculan mereka!

I only have one rule..haha, terlalu banyak tengok How I Met Your Mother kebelakangan ini ;) Tapi, dalam hidup ni, I sentiasa berpegang pada kata-kata ayah saya:

"Usaha, doa, tawakkal, redha"

I akhirnya memulakan sebuah empayar bisnes I sendiri. Well, baru start dah panggil empayar? InshaAllah He will show me the way ;)

Assalamualaikum and greetings!

Morning, readers! How's your day? It's still early in the morning so keep calm and let the positive vibes lead you the way!

Have you realised that coffee and love are two inseparable best friends forever? I occasionally watched romantic-themed movies, be it locally or from the festive streets of Hollywood to the romantic streets of Paris. It seems to me that in every love story, coffee is one of the characters, if not the major ones, that plays a great role in the movie. The sweet, lovely couple had their dates at the coffee house; the girl came to her boyrfriend's workplace with coffee and croissants or buns. Even the old married couples would not miss the chance to embrace the long years loving each other, sitting by the beach on the bench with their coffee, watching their kids running and chasing around the beach cheerfully.

I love coffee and I started to indulge myself with these brand names coffee, you name it, Gloria Jeans, Starbucks, Coffee Bean and so on. But, as the price itself would prohibit me from getting the coffee for daily doses and I want to stay healthy at the same time, my friend suggested me with this brand new coffee.

...DRUMROLL...BA-DUM TSS!...

PRESENTING...THE AMAZING...

Sense the aroma, feel the taste!
This is no regular coffee you could purchase from ordinary supermarkets and stores. This coffee contains the Bamboo Salt, which is known for various health benefits, such as:

  • Insomnia - difficulties to catch the sleep at night
  • Exhaustion all day long
  • Enhance skin conditions
  • Reduce the high blood pressure - reduce the tension and stress at the workplace
  • Suitable for diabetics
  • ...and many other benefits!
After 2 weeks consuming this coffee, alhamdulillah I felt so much better. No more difficulties crawling out of my bed, no more sullen tiring face coming to school and no more afternoon naps! I feel energetic the whole day and as a result, I've become more productive than I've ever been. Furthermore, it also helps to your body weight management! So far, it helps me to lose a few kilos, especially after all the eating and feasting during the Hari Raya, and maintain the ideal weight. Most importantly, this coffee contains

NO GLUCOSE! - Good for diabetics and patients with high blood pressure
NO CAFFEINE! - Good for those with migraines
NO EMULSIFIERS! - Good for everyone!

Another interesting fact about this coffee is, you can generate extra RM 5-6k per month! Wanna know how? Shh, not here. Give me a call, message or hit me on Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, and I will tell you how.

LET'S HAVE A CUPPA!

Assalamualaikum and greetings.

It's not too late for me to wish my fellow viewers Salam Eid Mubarak. This year marks the second year I celebrate the Eid as a school teacher in a small district of Kluang, located in the heart of the southern state of Johor. The name of the school is Kluang High School and it's a very renowned school in the district; ask everyone you bump into when you come to Kluang about my school and the initial reaction mostly would be "Ahh, that school..."

Last year's celebration was pretty interesting, as it was my first year in the school and I was just about to get to know the people and the culture. Briefly speaking, the school has the culture of winning in everything, as the motto "STK Always Lead" speaks for itself. Everyone in the school are bending over backwards in making sure the motto is being upheld and well-known all over the district and probably over the state and the country. During that period of getting to know each other, many friends, co-workers and acquaintances have been made, and I believe I have found my second family here.

However, it might be weird for some people as the family that I have found here in this school are built around students. Take a look at this picture for example.

Top row, from left: Liyana, Aisha, Laili, Me, Wahyu, Noreen, Mahani
Bottom row, from left: Aliana, Amanda, Nad

Some would call them students or girls. But, they are my friends, family, and yeah, girlfriends. They called themselves as the 7Pinx...you know, girls with their fondness of the Kpop singers and stuffs. Well, mostly the jambu-looking boybands like the SuJu, EXO, Big Bang, you named it. They have stuck with me together through thick and thin, high and dry. We would go for movies, bowling, karaoke, pizza, your call; we always stick together.

Iqbal and Redzman

These two mischievous boys are my sidekicks, friends and also my basketball duel partners. When others hate them for their previous history, I picked them up, motivated and made sure they stood up high and proud. There are two more sidekicks not in the picture; Alif and Najib, not really sure where they were this time, probably spying on their crushes, haha...

Well, enough with the rambles, just enjoy the pictures!

Aliana. She sounds really cute when she sings the Minions song, hehe

Arinah. Guess how old is she?

Aisha. Freakishly awesome and unpredictable.

Amanda. Best friends since 2012.

Laili. Paling degil dalam 7Pinx, haha.

Nad, Noreen and Mahani. Nad is the loudest, Noreen is the funniest and Mahani is the sweetest.

Hahaha, acting cute failed.

Arifah. Knew her from the nasyid team.

Jijie ;)

1Malaysia.

Assalamualaikum and greetings.

Phew, didn't know that blogging can be this addictive! I mean, one post consequently after the first one yesterday, man I should get a life! Haha, pessimists would come out with that, but little did they know, we can achieve great things through blogging! As a teacher, I would suggest my students to write a blog, as in keeping a daily journal of yourself. Researches and my personal experiences suggest blogging improves your writing skills, as well as your communication skills. Psychologist also would recommend blogging as a way of dealing with your stress at the workplace or school. So, start blogging! You won't be arrested, neither it's a sin to be a blog addict, hehe.

Talking about addiction, there's been a myth spreading around about the negative effects that the innocent coffee beans can affect our body. People have been saying that drinking coffee is unhealthy and addictive, which then compared to the drug addiction. As a coffee lover, I've been drinking coffee long time ago and if I were to be in the state of coffee addiction, then I would not be here living my life to the fullest healthily.

For me, we have to be moderate in many aspects, be it in eating, playing, working and studying. Oh, let me make myself clear before we go any further; as a Muslim, you can't be a moderate, simple and mediocre Muslim if you want to stand out among others and surely you would understand our final goal is the eternal life in Jannah. One of the 40 Hadith compiled by Imam Nawawi, from Ibnu Umar r.a, Rasulullah PBUH once said:

“Be in this world as though you were a stranger or a wayfarer.”
And Ibn Umar (ra) used to say, “In the evening do not expect [to live until] the morning, and in the morning do not expect [to live until] the evening. Take [advantage of] your health before times of sickness, and [take advantage of] your life before your death.”

Take what you need, not what you want, because Allah only gives you what you need, not what you want. Take in the coffee as an example; the nutritional and health values suggest us to take the coffee once in a while. So, it's not the foods or the actions that make us addicted to something, but it's how we take and deal with the foods and actions.

I love coffee so much and I don't mind if I have to spend my money on something that I love. I have traveled to many places. I have tried many types of coffees and I'm glad to be here in Kluang, which is famous for its Kluang Railway coffee. Recently, a good friend of mine, Farouk Harun, introduced to me this special coffee. The smell of the robusta coffee wakes me up every morning and after drinking it every morning before I'm off to work, every morning is not the same morning I used to have before. Normally, I would have to crawl out of the blanket and take 5-10 minutes for loading and buffering time. Then, after 2 straight classes, teachers and students who bumped into me always asked "Why do you look so tired? Why do you look so sad?", which in fact is untrue because I thought I was okay and geared up for the whole day.

Then I realised that when I went back home after school, it would be so easy for doze off just after few seconds I lay down and put my head on the couch. Then I would doze off until after Asar and then I missed my basketball routine. So I think I need to change the way I live my life, then Farouk suggested this coffee to me. After 2 weeks of daily intake every morning, thanks to Allah for His wonderful creation, this coffee has helped me to stay freshen up and I don't have to take my afternoon nap anymore and I've never missed my basketball routine every evening!

One cup a day, keeps the pillow away! Hehe

If you want to find out more about this coffee, just give me a call, a text message or hit me on Whatsapp 016-655 4623!

Assalamualaikum and greetings.

Ahmad Safwan, English teacher. Click.

That's how I'm gonna introduce myself from this day onward. I have been known as a timid, low self-esteem kinda guy, but hey, new is always better. In most cases, I found that to be true.

I used to love and be very good in blogging. Back in 2006 I guess, the emergencyatroomc.blogspot.com was quite a hit, at least I had more than 5 avid readers at that time and my blog posts were mostly rants and whines, nothing sort of political, religious and...yeah, educational.

One year has passed and now I'm in the second year of my teaching career and I have been through the highs and a lot low moments, which has changed my perspective in many aspects extensively. I have met different types of people, from different ranks, believes and perspective. Learnt a lot as a teacher and as a warden; yeah, I'm a father of 210 boys and girls at the hostel and I guess I have grown a lot older than my age. The way I talk, joke, eat and entertain myself.

Regardless, there are parts of still remain intact and unchanged. For example, my passion in basketball has not changed at all and in fact, I spread the love to my boys. I could still recall the first day I put on my shoes and started to bounce the ball off the floor to the school's sports complex. All the kids were playing football, badminton and rugby. Then, I started shooting the hoops, showing off some of my ankle-breaking skills and breaking off the rim by dunking like LeBron. Haha, maybe I exaggerated that part but you get my point, don't you? All the kids were like "Who's this guy? I wanna be like him someday! What is he doing, alone?" Then, the number just started growing; now we can always play full court 5x5 every single day!

Yeah it's not a dunk, but he did not even know how to perform the layup; he would just dribble the ball across the whole court like crazy, and unknowingly he would stop and shoot the ball like a girl shooting the netball, hehe

Life's like a basketball game; you have to dribble through the obstacles and you've got to take the risk; either you go through or you fall. If you go through, you must go all the way and finish the rim in style. If you fall, pick yourself back up and try again. You can't be embarrassed for that one fall because that's life. Furthermore, you know there's gonna be someone better and faster than you. So, you have to up the ante, put yourself into challenge and do whatever it takes to beat up that challenge.

In order to accomplish that, you have to stay calm, keep yourself motivated and positive. There's always gonna be ups and downs; that's the cycle of life. If Plan A fails, there are Plan B, C and another 23 more letters you could come up with.

God, this always happens to me; in the middle of writing something, when the brain is overflowing with ideas, all of sudden it just got blanked. Will continue writing next time, happy reading!
